The Coal Miners Prayer
Each dawn as we rise, lord we know all to well, We face only one thing – a pit filled with hell. To scratch out a living the best that we can, But deep in the heart, lies the soul of a man. With black covered faces, and hard calloused hands, We work the dark tunnels, unable to stand. To labour and toil as we harvest the coals, We silently pray “lord please harvest our souls”.

GOD SPEED TO ALL THAT LOVED AND KNEW THEM FOR OUR HEARTS ARE HEAVY WITH YOU.

Nothing to say ~ Look to Yourself
The songs lyrics. Written in 1970
Ceilings crash the walls collapse broken by the lies
That your misfortune brought upon us
I went your way ten years ago and I’ve got nothing to say
YOU NOW CAN SMILE TEDDY
AND WE WILL SEE IT FROM THE HEAVENS.

DAN ADKINS CAN GO TO HELL
Dan Adkins is an Imbecile.
Thinking he can attempt to swindle unknowing individuals into this so called Petition to SAVE MI. RACING. When as written the only ones who will be saved is this GROUP he’s been hired by. Bernard Hartman and Herbert Tyner. Hazel Park Raceway real estate moguls. Or rather MORONS.
Recent Articles in the Oakland Press & Royal Oak Daily Tribune & MLive.com don’t even begin to tell the real story. Dan Adkins has himself being portrayed as some Savior for Saving Horse Racing in Michigan. And he is anything but.

Race/Fight to the Finish?
Two Jockeys at Philadelphia Park on Friday January 8, 2010 got into a fist fight.
Now having worked at the Detroit Race Course for 23 years, that’s not exactly breaking news. Many Jock’s over the years have fought after a race in the Jock’s room over many of things. Mostly over somebody they thought interfered with their ride.
So what’s the big deal?
Never have the fights broke out DURING THE RACE! This one was during the 5th race at Philly Friday.

All Mi. Horse Tracks about to be SHUT DOWN.
And yet not one word on our LOCAL MEDIA NEWS STATIONS.
WXYZ, WDIV, WJBK, DETROIT NEWS, OR DETROIT FREE PRESS.
On November 5th because of the Veto of funding to the ORC which in reality was already dissolved by Governor Granholm. Because of lack of money for racing officials. ALL 5 MICHIGAN HORSE TRACKS WILL HAVE TO CEASE OPERATION. That means ALL Simulcasting & Live Racing.
And yet the only Media coverage I’ve seen is on links below. Out of Mid/Mi.

Infamit Wisdom Verses Completely Inept
The Breeders Cup this year is on Friday November 6th & 7th.
Our HBPA here in Michigan was notified Thursday Oct. 22
Also a link to MHHA also stated same message with the Urgency for action.
Because of the ORC LAYOFFS: The Michigan HBPA was notified that effective November 5, 2009, due to the Governor’s veto of the funding for the ORC, that all ORC will be laid-off. That will cease all racing activity to include live and simulcasting statewide.

$20k better spent
On Oct. 8, 2009 Governor Granholm dissolved The Office of Racing Commissioner, and put us under the Michigan Gaming Control Board. Horse racing was always under Agriculture. It was mentioned in several Detroit newspaper articles that state’s House Appropriations Committee wanted to vote on conducting a study if other forms of gaming at all Mi. horse tracks would bring more money into the state. The price tag of this study? $20k.
Are they nuts?
