Trayvon Martin vs. Detroit.

I originally wrote this blog on Aug. 29, 2011 entitled,

A Solemn Motown Monday ~ ” What’s Going On” ~ Marvin Gaye.

After hearing the bullshit protests about this Trayvon Martin verdict going on all over the country I felt the need to re-post it. It’s pretty much self-explanatory. It was about a violent 24 hour day in Detroit in-which 16 people were shot in separate incidences. I added two comments to it because just hours later two more people were shot, one just a toddler.

All 18 victims were black, every single one of the shooters and murderers were black. And not one single peep was heard from anyone anywhere. I’ll edit one sentence at the very end.

I wonder if seen by our President will he make a statement that one of them could have been him.

Motown Monday ~ Trouble Man ~ Marvin Gaye

Marvin Gaye wrote every single song on this films soundtrack. He not only composed, produced and arranged them but along with the vocals he played the drums, keyboards & piano for the songs. Sadly the title track would ultimately epitomize his life at its conclusion.

One very talented yet tormented soul that has been very missed not only by the fans of the city who enjoyed his early works with Motown, but by the entire music world.
