Sunday Sleep In ~ “The Dreamer” ~ Sonny Criss

The album may be entitled “Out of Nowhere” but Criss was from anything but. From the age of 20 in 1947 he was already playing among the elite of jazz and would continue to do so through his entire career.

Though it seemed he never got his name in gigantic top of the bill neon lights, he played among and was a part of the stars. The artists, sessions and albums are endless.

He originally did this song in 55′ solo but re-recorded it in 72′ with some other gifted players and all gave it that splendid latin flavour.
