I couldn’t decide which song to play off this album, all so beautiful as the magic from the musicians just flows. Capoeira for another time.

Friday At The Fillmore ~ “Rock Odyssey” ~ Don Ellis Orchestra.

 

Not only the did Rock and Blues best play the Fillmore, some great Jazz musicians and bands also played. To me this was the best big band that ever hit the Fillmore West stage. The song’s title just happen to fit right into the venue.

This 20 piece orchestra of Ellis that year jammed the roof off the place.

Mediterranean Sundance came from the 1977 Album of Al Di Meola’s: Elegant Gypsy.
