He was more than a TV news anchor although that’s one of the reasons he reigned number one and regarded as the King of the news here. No he was much more, Bill Bonds was hard-core journalist at its finest. Old school reporting, he wanted the what were and always should be the basic rules of the profession.

The Who, What, When, Where and Why.

He demanded the answers, from those he interviewed and from the reporters on the street working at the station. We all grew up in Detroit watching all three channels 2,4 & 7 and in the end it would always lead back to WXYZ for only one reason, Bill Bonds.

A powerhouse reporter who got down to the grit of a story and there was none better for not letting anyone off the hook until he gained the answers and what was the truth.

The Class of Detroit TV News has Retired…Diana Lewis

Wednesday was her last newscast for WXYZ, but today there will be a special send off for her on the 5:00PM news. I can honestly say anybody who could have survived with Bill Bonds for so many years…lol and I say that kindly because I thought Bonds was one of the best reporters and news anchor that any city ever had. But when Diana Lewis showed up here in the D’ in 77′ they paired beautifully.

Two strong hard-working the best at what they did personalities.

One thing I was shocked at was her age of 69, (she looks more like 55) but then I don’t know why as I knew she had started her career in 1968. I guess time just flew so fast it just didn’t seem all that long ago.

Bray’s Hamburgers Owner Investigated by FBI?

When this story broke about the raid of Bray’s on Ford Rd. in Westland and Capital Coney Island on 8 Mile in Ferndale. Only one news source written and reported by My Fox Detroit Taryn Asher stated it was in connection with one man associated with both. And both were owned by the same man. His name Tomo Duhanaj. Then I came up with this on the Internet.

In 2007 he appealed for a review of a decision denying him an application for asylum in the USA and according to this 15 page document lost the appeal as well.

It is pretty explanatory. He came into the country illegally in 2002 you can read the rest below. Obviously he got to stay in the U.S. but my question is whether any of this information has anything to do with this raid conducted by the FBI and is it in-fact the man they are investigating?

Looking for financial records and bank statements. Tax Evasion or something else?

Pretty vauge news when the raid was annouced by local news here both TV and Newspaper side with no further details given.

But also discovered is a lot of Political Contributions given by Mr. Duhanaj to both political parties from his time here, with an increasing amount each year. To candidates here in Michigan and

New York.

On November 5th because of the Veto of funding to the ORC which in reality was already dissolved by Governor Granholm. Because of lack of money for racing officials. ALL 5 MICHIGAN HORSE TRACKS WILL HAVE TO CEASE OPERATION. That means ALL Simulcasting & Live Racing.

And yet the only Media coverage I’ve seen is on links below. Out of Mid/Mi.
