Romney’s campaign released a statement on Tuesday night — Sept. 11 — asserting “that the Obama administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.”
The criticism was in response to a statement put out by the U.S. embassy in Egypt, not the Obama administration. In addition, the embassy statement was released in an apparent effort to head off any possible violence. At the time, there were no attacks to condemn.
This man is an imbecile.
The attacks that did up happening took the life of our US Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens along with three other Americans.
I will always remember the day MLK was murdered and riots broke out across many cities. It was Bobby Kennedy that took to the streets in Indianapolis and had to deliver the news to a mostly black crowd who had gathered to hear him speak on the campaign trail.
None hadn’t even heard of the tragic the news yet. And Kennedy defused at least that particular city that night.
“For those of you who are black and are tempted to … be filled with hatred and mistrust of the injustice of such an act, against all white people, I would only say that I can also feel in my own heart the same kind of feeling,” he said. “I had a member of my family killed, but he was killed by a white man.”
Sadly two months later he himself would meet the same fate.
But in essence what Kennedy did was the same thing the American Embassy in Cairo attempted to do with their statement six hours prior to any wave of so-called protests over a ten-cent joke of a movie.
Even House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich. weighed in, saying that the Benghazi attack was “a well-armed, well-coordinated event” and not mere spontaneous mob violence.
Rogers kept his distance from Romney’s condemnation of the Cairo embassy statement, saying, “I’m not exactly sure what Gov. Romney was specifically talking about. I think probably what you saw there was the frustration over a foreign policy that is probably is a little out of kilter … .”
Nobody apologized to the savages who murdered Christopher Stevens. Again the embassy statement in Cairo was released in an apparent effort to head off any possible violence. At the time, there were no attacks to condemn.
So WTF is Mitt Romney talking about, it was President Obama sympathizing with those who waged the attacks?
The attacks hadn’t even yet occurred.
But what is more alarming to me is Romney’s statement;
“A terrible course for America to stand in apology for our values … Apology for America’s values is never the right course.”
So this stupid idiotic 14 minute film produced by a pseudonym because there is no record of a Sam Bacile ever having Israeli citizenship is AMERICAN VALUES?
I could only stand to watch a few minutes of it on You Tube after all this violence was announced. I hit the remove the contents off YT button because I so no purpose in it. It was absolutely idiocy at its finest.
Steve Klein, an anti-Muslim activist who said he served as a script consultant on the movie. Klein from Southern California and in 2010 voiced his opposition to the construction of a mosque in the Temecula, southeast of Los Angeles. He heads up Concerned Citizens for the First Amendment, a group that contends Islam is a threat to American freedom.
The movie was shown in June at an undisclosed theater and drew only 10 patrons, according to The Los Angeles Times. Klein told The Los Angeles Times that the movie was shown in Hollywood in hopes of drawing Islamic extremists.
Well he got what he wished for. Another Terry Jones.
And Mitt Romney insults all Americans by saying; A terrible course for America to stand in apology for our values.
Man this may be your values Senator but they are not mine nor anybody I know of.
Face it Right Wing Extremists here in America are as dangerous as the sub-human creatures that had already planned to murder Americans on 9-11.
Not everybody is the f’n idiots who produced this crap to incite violence and not every Muslim reacted in the way that some did to just look for an excuse to go berserk and kill people.
In reality had they not even reacted to this so-called shit called a movie nobody would have ever heard about its making in the first place.
But Mitt Romney jumped at the first shot to run at the mouth about something that number one hadn’t occurred yet and second, this violence was planned before any film was ever made about anything. It could have been about a bed bug.
They have their crazies and we have ours, proclaiming that this film is American Values.
STFU already Romney. You are an embarrassment to America.
My American Values are I pray for the family of Christopher Stevens, his wife, children, parents and all those who knew and loved him. And the other three Americans that also died in this insanity.
Loyal lunatics were determined to carry out an attack on 9-11 both abroad and right here in one way or another.
But how dare a Presidential candidate use the deaths of Christopher Stevens and other diplomats for his own political race with selfish rhetoric. What he gained was total dis-respect from the majority of his own party and disgraced all of America with this stupidity.
Next time speak into a toilet instead of a microphone.
Mitt Romney needs an enema of the mind.
