    such an odd choice for CCR…but ya gotta start somewhere. thankfully it didn’t end there….

  2. It was a Perfect choice. They were into Blues.

    Their rendition of this song was the best done. It had all the elements of the day. Psychedelics mixed with Blues Rock. There was a distinctive seductiveness about this version. The radio stations Suzie Q’d to death that hit, only the best rock stations at that time played I put A Spell On You.
    WABX here in Detroit.

    And ironically to this day along with Born On A Bayou it has remained my favorite from CCR.
