Written by all four members of the band.
Released off their first and self titled album in 1973.
Sammy Hagar – lead vocals
Ronnie Montrose – guitar
Bill Church – bass
Denny Carmassi – drums
Along with “Rock Candy”, I liked “Make it Last” as equally from this debut album. In fact I didn’t think anything that followed matched these works. But only my opinion.
Ronnie Montrose and Bill Church played on Van Morrison’s Tupelo Honey album, Montrose also was a member of the Edgar Winter Group when “They Only Come Out at Night” came out in 1972. “Free Ride” along with others would make it Winter’s best-selling album.
This line up of Montrose, Hager, Church & Carmassi only lasted this one album. But these two songs alone etched their way into my teen memories.
