Released in 1963 on the Motown Label, Written by Smokey Robinson.

Actual Title was the longest in Motown’s History.

“A Breath Taking, First Sight Soul Shaking, One Night Love Making, Next Day Heartbreaking Guy”

And out of all the Supremes songs, this was my all time favorite. The Harmony on this song is timeless. All three singers Flo Ballard, Mary Wilson & Diana Ross sung the chorus but on
” Guy ” were together.

And there was no better group of musicians anywhere or anytime better than the Funk Brothers!

And I was born just three blocks (14th & W. Grand Blvd.) from Hitsville in 1957. Man did I arrive in time or what… LOL

The video I chose was the best quality of the song, but I never agreed that the “SUPREMES” should have been changed to one name above the other two. And if I did it would have been Florence Ballard in the top spot. All three could sing. Mary Wilson had a fabulous voice but Flo’s had the best set of pipes of all. She deserved better than what she got and will always be remembered.

You are very much missed Flo. Your Magic will live on with us forever.
