All the younger people know is this was the song that Baby and Johnny seductively danced to in his room in Dirty Dancing.
The voice behind the recording us older folks knew all to well.
Solmon Burke had a life time of Music behind him, way too many to even count. His journey on this earth left us Sunday Oct. 10th.
He was 70 years old and still packing the house where ever he performed.
SOLOMON BURKE’S DISCOGRAPHY IS ENDELESS
My personal favorites were “If you need me (63)”, “Tonight’s the Night(65), “Soul Searchin'(02)
He won a Grammy in 2002 for Best Contemporary Blues Album ” Don’t Give Up on Me “.

Hell I can’t top this. I’m just sorry so many Entertainers/Singers/Actors etc… are leaving us.
But like the others with-in the last couple of weeks, this Rock~n~Soul Singer won’t ever be forgotten.
Solomon Burke’s generation of Soul, Blues & Gospel was the real deal. That’s why they still sang it with their souls until the very end. Today’s generation wouldn’t of even kept up with the likes of these singers a second. So once again the gates of Heaven opened Sunday and Solomon walked in. Thank you Sir for leaving us with your Talent to always enjoy and remember you by.
Lord, we will miss this man.
