There are about a hundred words I could describe Shaun White’s performance Wednesday Evening at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.
Awesome, Exquisite, Heart Pounding, Excellent, Bellissimo, Exuberant are just a few.
Shaun White is a individual that just brings on excitement. People stood and waited in child like anticipation hoping he would exhibit his secretive extra trick or should I say KICK to the Half Pipe. After his first run, he had already won the Gold. No one could touch him. His manager reportedly said to him, if your going to do it. STICK IT!
And he did. Double McTwist 1260, he earned a 48.4. for it. And it was incredible. You could feel his excitement right through your TV’s, right into your own body. I actually leaped from my couch screaming YEAH BABY YEAH.
He made it look effortless, and I couldn’t have been any happier for this guy along with millions of others who watched this performance. I never heard of Shaun White before Torino when he set the snow ablaze with his talent. And waiting for these Olympics to start he was the only athlete that I couldn’t wait to see what he would do next. And it couldn’t of happened to a more nicer and deserving individual.
Anybody that can generate that much excitement from and for who lights up everyone around him by just being there deserves the recognition. And he got it Wednesday night with a well deserved GOLD. Fly on Shaun, Fly On!
THANK YOU SHAUN!
