To this day I still believe that “Performance Rockin’ the Fillmore” and The Allman Brothers Band “At Fillmore East” are the two best live albums that were ever produced.
The songs were long jams that you never wanted to end and 41 years later are still longed for. This foursome of Steve Marriott ( Small Faces), Peter Frampton, Greg Ridley (Spooky Tooth) and Jerry Shirley who was only 17 years old when H.P. was formed were among the best line up of musicians that had been grouped together. And Marriott will always be remembered and remain one of the best known “Soulful” Rock/Blues singer and player that ever came out of the 60s & 70s.
